If performed every 4-6 weeks, enzyme peels can also help in fading age spots and sun damage. Enzyme peels are safe for most skin types. With zero downtime, these peels are the perfect introduction to peels.

CHEMICAL PEELS:

The name “chemical peel” itself gives you some insight into what the process looks like. A mild chemical, or acid, is used on the skin to help rejuvenate the epidermis layer by exfoliating (and sometimes peeling) thus improving the overall condition of your skin. Shedding the topmost layer of your skin will tell living skin cells to multiply and move to the surface. This signals your body to boost collagen production, which will improve your skin’s elasticity.

When done in a series, chemical peels can be effective in treating pigment, acne scarring, anti-aging concerns and to help to maintain an overall bright, healthy glow to your skin. What to expect at your first appointment:

Consultation:

Prior to putting your Peel Plan in place we will analyze your skin as well as discuss the concerns and goals you have for your skin. See below the 3 Levels of Chemical Peels.

Peel Plan: By addressing your concerns/goals, we will develop a Peel Plan customized just for you. We will also be able to give an estimate of how many peels it will take to get to your goals. Most clients begin with Level 1 and move up to the Level 3 Peels.

First Peel: Based on your Peel Plan, if your skin is ready, we will perform your first Peel. In most cases, this will be an Enzyme Peel in order to prep your skin for your Chemical Peel Series and put it in the best shape to succeed with your Peel Series.

This first appointment will last 45 minutes.

I Peel Lightening Lift

Lactic acid blended with kojic acid and a cocktail of brightening agents to reduce all forms of pigmentation. Can also be used on the decolletage to reduce pigmentation.

This distinct blend of active exfoliants works synergistically to visibly reduce the appearance of fine lines. The most advanced Peel.

Skin type: Aging, pigmentation, severe acne.

ONE WEEK BEFORE THE PEEL

Discontinue any topical prescriptions or any products containing Retinol or Vitamin A
Avoid waxing, electrolysis, depilatory creams and laser hair removal treatments
Avoid sun exposure (if unavoidable, make sure to use SPF)
Do not receive Botox or dermal fillers
Do not have a facial treatment unless recommended.

THE DAY OF YOUR PEEL

Discontinue all use of alpha hydroxy acid (AHA), beta hydroxy acid (BHA) and benzoyl peroxide
Stop any exfoliating products that may be drying or irritating
Men-do not shave the day of your Peel

IMMEDIATLEY POST PEEL

After each Peel, you will be provided with a Post-Treatment Kit which is to be used for 7 days following your Peel. For days 8-14 (prior to your next Peel), use products that have been suggested during your Initial Consultation.
